My favorite thing to say to a parent or caregiver is...

“You don’t need me anymore.”

I absolute love to hear when parents and caregivers tell me about events that occurred in how their child used their tools. What does that mean? Everything! You as a parent are filling your tool box and you’re implementing all the skills we worked on. I have read numerous testimonies regarding ABA companies and all they have done for a child. In my opinion, the best testimony is to say “You don’t need me anymore”. We have filled your tool box and given you the skills to continue with your child’s progress. Okay, I admit, I also love to get the texts or calls highlighting your child’s success. They sure do fill my bucket!

I have been in this field for some time now. With all of my years of experience, I can say that I am always learning and growing with each family and child I meet. There is no standardized program that works for all children. It is figuring out what works for your child and tailoring  programs to meet your child's needs.

You ask, what kind of credentials does this gal have? I have been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2006. I was first introduced to behavioral therapy while teaching at an early intervention preschool for children with special needs. I received my BCBA in 2011 and have continued to work with children of all ages (2-18).
